Turning it around

The last few weeks have been amazingly different around my house. I have been in constant prayer for a very long time for God to do miracles in my marriage. I posted this and this on my other blog a few months ago.
I want to tell you that God is working wonders right now in our lives. We have been going to Godly counsel for about a month and I can't believe the difference. Our biggest issue, I think, is communication and this has help that area so much. We are both giving it our all and we are sacrificing for one another. Our other major issue at hand is we have no time for one another, and we don't make it a priority. We are making time to focus on one another twice a day for 30 mins. and we have committed to get away every other week, even if it is just for a quick car ride.
I have had a major issue with putting my kids before him and that is just not biblical. I am trying so hard to put him first. I have also been put into the spiritual leader role in our home for a long time. I have been there so long that it is difficult to turn the reins over and step back. But through lots of prayer I think I am doing better with this.
We enjoy each others company now. Doing things together rather than just passing by each other in the house.
I tell you it has just been great and I am loving it. By the way so is he.

"He will show favor to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears, He will answer you"

~Isaiah 30:19

Amy~
I'm glad I found your blog through WFW.

Please know that I'll be lifting you, and your husband, and family up in prayer.

My dh and I do prayer counseling at our church and we help many couples, in your very situation.

Know that I'll be lifting you up, each time the Lord brings you to my mind.

Hang in there....God's working.

Oh I looked around your blog a bit and found this post. I want you to know that I admire you for taking steps to work on things. I don't know your whole story, but it's one that many of us go through, I'm sure. Please know that I have said a specific prayer for you today, as I have a special place in my heart for marriages and the need to see them become AMAZING! God has done wonderful things in our family, so I have seen first hand what He can do with a man's heart. Be blessed! And stay encouraged!
