Looking for another 10

June 6, 1998 @ 2pm I started a whole new chapter of my life. It has been one amazing ride. Don't get me wrong it has been extremely bumpy at times and then there were time I wondered if I could hold on tight enough. But through the storms, trials and amazingly good time, we have weathered the last 10 years pretty well. And it is all because of this:

I once thought marriage took

Just two to make a go,

But now I am convinced

It takes the Lord also.

And not one marriage fails

Where Christ is asked to enter,

As lovers come together

With Jesus at the center.

But marriage seldom thrives

And homes are incomplete,

'Til He is welcomed there

To help avoid defeat.

In homes where God is first

It's obvious to see,

Those unions really work

For marriage still takes three.

We recieved this framed poem as a wedding present and it has hung on our bathroom wall ever since. It is a constant reminder to keep Christ at the center of our relationship at all times.
