Holiday weekend fun

Well here we are again, it is Friday. What a fast week and not too bad. Memorial Weekend is here and we have a full weekend planned. Tonight is Wes's last baseball game of this season. Oh did I mention that the team is undefeated. Good Job Boys! Saturday is a day of fun in the sun at the camp on the river. We are so looking forward to just relaxing with the family and some friends. With Sunday comes a busy day.... 7:30 am we load the bus with our baseball team and families to head to Houston for the Astros game. Youth Baseball Parade ~ This popular parade features hundreds of kids and their coaches from area youth baseball and softball leagues. All kids and coaches in uniform (and with game tickets) may participate by lining up at the right field gate no later than 11:00 a.m. Our Boys are so excited. Game time is at 1:05pm and then the long 2 1/2 hour ride home. I am sure there will be alot of tired parents and kiddos on the bus coming home. I am charging my camera for some good pictures this weekend. Monday we are off for the holiday, Praise God! Chris is taking the boys fishing at a friend's house while I take Lauren shopping for her 8th grade graduation outfit. Oh my baby girl is going to high school....Then we will return home for me to get a perm in my hair and cook out on the grill.

I would like to take a few moments and tell you that times are hard for alot of people right now and if you would, please pray for all those that lost a family member this week. I personally know of 3 that passed away here in my town and then I also learned of Steven Curtis Chapman's daughter being involved in a tragic accident. Things happen at times that leave us devastated and grieving deeply. Things that are total out of our control. Death perhaps being the hardest to deal with. But there is a God that knows all things, loves at all times and has a purpose for every detail in our life. Please lift up these families this weekend and the weeks to come.

" The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all"
~ Psalms 34:18-19

Thankful Thursday

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." ~ 2 Timothy 2:15

Thankful Thursday:
This is my first time for this meme, although I have seen it on many of my fav. blogs, this is my first shot at it.
I am Thankful for so much in my life, but to keep you from being overwhelmed by it all I will start off with this one.
Last night was our AWANA awards program and my 2 youngest boys were honored there. They racked up so to speak on the awards. So today I am extremely thankful for my children. More importantly I am Thankful that they Love the Lord. Three of the four children that God has blessed me with have already excepted Christ as their Savior and been Baptized. I am thankful for God giving me the honor to be their mom and to teach them about God and be able to share the Gospel with them. Also to have the freedom to bring them to Church, where they are able to join AWANA and learn scriptures from the Bible on a weekly basis.

TWO Down!

So I told you that I would not be able to stay off the scale. AND WOO HOO for me I lost 2lbs in 2 days. This isn't as difficult as I thought it would be. I felt a little sluggish yesterday from the lack of sugar and caffine but I feel really good today. My family has even enjoyed the food I have been cooking the last 3 nights. Wish me luck for the rest of the week.

Going down the skinny road

Started my "Big" weight loss today. I really need to loose over 50 lbs but I will be quit confortable loosing about 40. I have a weight loss ticker on the right side there. I will try to only weigh myself once a week, but I know myself too well and I will probably be on there everyday. I will for sure up date the ticker every Monday, if not more.
Pray for me. This is tough and I really need to lean on the Lord to get this done! Check back and see how it is going. I will try to get a before picture posted soon.

Blogging One Blog at a Time

Is it 5:oo yet. I am so ready for this week to end.

I should feel like this

But instead I feel like this.

That should give you a clue that I am ready for the weekend. Not that I have anything planned, I just need some R & R. A Mommy Getaway would be so lovely right about now!

I have decided to only maintain one Blog at a time. All my blogging time will be spent here. Not that I do a whole lot of blogging these days. My time is stretch as is.

Have a lovely weekend and God Bless you!

Missing you Mom!

I was a little sad yesterday that I no longer have my mother to call or visit on Mother's Day. I cried a bit Saturday night going to bed wishing that she was still here. And again on Sunday morning at Church Services. Because I was home taking care of post-op children, I was not able to visit the cemetery with my sister. Here is a picture that she sent me.

We miss you mom! You can go to her memorial website that I made at www.geocities.com/amy041774

my batman

Thursday morning was Dustin's nose procedure and all went well. He was in and out really quick and today feels alot better. Today was Lane's Double Hernia Surgery. I was a little more concerned with his because he has not ever been put to sleep. Dustin has and does fine with it. After many prayers Lane's surgery went well. He is doing well this evening. Moving around a little slower than normal which is fine by me. Here is a picture of him before he went to surgery. He doesn't want to be called Lane anymore, we are under strict instructions to call him "Batman".
I will be very busy this Mother's Day weekend being a mom and taking care of my babies.
