football victory

Victory again tonight.! 54-7

Tonight was our last home game.

Next week we play our last district game

and it will be the toughest yet.

Next week should not be a run away

game but we are predicted to win.

Rumors have it that whom ever has

the ball last will win

We shall see. It is going to be a great

edge of seat game.

This was my baby after the game a couple of weeks ago.

A healthy Stellan is here

God is so good. I tell you. I have been following this lady's blog since the summer and it is amazing what God has done with her baby. Stellan is here and healthy. You can visit MckMama blog later to see some pictures and read details but for now this is what was said......

Stellan entered the world
this sunny fall morning
at 10:19 am, CST
weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces
and measuring 19 inches long
Details on exactly how Stellan is doing as well as photos of the sweet baby will be forthcoming. But, let's just say that Stellan got a 9 and a 9 on his APGARS and the NICU team has yet to find a single thing wrong with him...Happy birthday, sweet Stellan. You are God's miracle to us and you are finally here!!!!
Thanks for all your prayers but please continue if you will.

Special Prayers for Stellan

Many of you may all ready know MckMama but I am sure some do not. She is due to have her 4th child in the morning and needs our prayers.

Quoted from her blog:

"MckMuffin is our 36 week old unborn son S--our fourth blessing! He was quite unexpectedly given to us, and even more unexpected was his diagnosis of heart failure: Premature Atrial Contraction at 20 weeks; Supraventricular Tachycardia, hydrops, and intermittent advanced secondary heart block at 23 weeks; and enlargement of the heart at 32 weeks. We were told at 24 weeks that he would surely die. God performed a miracle and MckMuffin is still with us! The doctors are unsure about what will happen to our baby when he is born. But God is not unsure!! We are praying for MckMuffin's full healing, but we know that God is good no matter what He decides."

God has a miracle child due to enter into this world tomorrow morning. Please Pray for her, Stellan, Her husband, and all the doctors and Nurses.

Check her blog tomorrow to get the updates on his birth story. It is sure to be a big one.

Meet Logan, The Sky Angel Cowboy - CBN News

Logan, The Sky Angel Cowboy from KSBJ

Randomness.......

Covering some random things in this post.
We won again Friday night.... Yeah Go Cats. 50-7
Saturday was our last day for pee-wee football...... AMEN!
Sunday I spent the day in the car going to get Dustin and Lauren from their dad's house.... If you follow my blog you would know that's 11 hours in the car for the whole day...... But I spent it with my Lord. I listened to Beth Moore's study Breaking Free on cd. WOW! It is amazing and I am not even finished. I still have 3 cds to go. Traffic was ok and we got home about 9:30.
I started working some in my new position this week. But it is a crazy week because I also am a backup dispatcher and our day time dispatcher is out from foot surgery.
I talked to a lady that is big into Women's Ministry for our district of the Southern Baptist Assoc. yesterday. Got some good feed back from her on my ministry. She wants to me with me soon and discuss some things. I was really excited that she was responsive and even better there is no church around here that offers that type of support group. She is putting together a network for area Churches and the ministry they have for women. She wants my info asap to put it in there. Anyway we are going to try to meet next week and talk about where God is taking me.
I am on Chapter 4 of my Healing Hearts Bible Study. This one is a tough one too. But I am getting through them and feel God doing a lot of healing in areas of my life that haven't been touched in years.
He is so precious and Good....... ALL THE TIME!
Not alot of time to really talk. Thanks for all the prayers.....
Oh and pray for my, I mean Chris's Dog. She chewed up Dustin's Letterman Jacket and I just about rang her neck this morning. I am so tired of coming home to something else chewed up......

Been Busy

I have spent the last week and a half in a lot of prayer and searching the internet. There is so much out there for post abortive women. I am continuing to pray for the direction the Lord wants me to go in this ministry. I am also doing my part by investigating a few possible avenues. One area I am checking on is getting some leadership training for Pat Layton's Bible Study, Surrendering the Secret. There is a training day in Jan. that I am interested in going to, followed by her speaking at a women's conference. The other one is Healing Hearts Ministry. The first step with them is completing their Bible study and since there is not a leader near me, I am doing it on line at Healing Hearts. I started it this weekend and my goodness it really digs deep inside and stirs around those feelings. I have not thought about those details in a long time. Some of them are gone because God has protected me from them. Then you have to go through interviewing and also training. It is alot of work, but for a good reason. And all the leaders have to be post abortive. I am really excited about it all.
I also was asked to be praying about speaking at another church. I work with a pastor and he said he would be delighted to have me speak to the women at his church. We are praying for that too. Thank you all whom have been praying for me.

The Quilt

"The Quilt"

As I faced my Maker at the last Judgement, I knelt before the Lord along with the other souls. Before each of us laid our lives, like the squares of a quilt, in many piles. An Angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our life. But, as my Angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in everyday life. I saw hardships that I had endured, which were the largest holes of all. I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares. Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own life and was disheartened. My Angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air. Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose, each in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My Angel looked upon me, and nodded for me to rise. My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life, and laughter. But there had also been trials of illness and death, and false accusations that took from me my world as I knew it. I had to start over many times. I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I had spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life. I had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully; each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me. And now, I had to face the truth. My life was what it was, and I had to accept it for what it had been. I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light. An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared at me with eyes wide. Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes, creating an image. The face of Christ. Then our Lord stood before me, with warmth and love in His eyes. He said, "Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My struggles. Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you." May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing Christ to shine through.

A big Giveaway Link

THERE IS HOPE AND FREEDOM IN SURRENDERING THE SECRET.

Did you know that one in every three women has had an abortion? In fact, 43% of women of child-bearing age have this secret. And I don't use the term "secret" lightly. While there is certainly a multitude of unbelieving women out there that tote this secret sadness in their hearts, there are as many BELIEVING women - FORGIVEN, SAVED WOMEN in YOUR CHURCH - who are walking around unhealed. Why? Because they are paralyzed by shame and fear at the thought of surrendering their secret.

Pat Layton, aurthor and the founder of A Woman's Place Ministries in Tampa, Florida. With first-hand experience, she intimately understands the fear and heartache that surrounds women, post-abortion. After she was saved, she looked for material to help her and others heal, but there was none. So, she and God wrote a study that was used for 20 years at her crisis pregnancy center. This year, Surrendering the Secret was released in DVD form by Lifeway, in response to the thousands of hurting women that flooded the altar for prayer in this area, after each of their large events.

There is a giveway being held over at Traveling the Road Home, from Melinda......

Five (5) Winners
One (1) DVD Leader Kit (including DVD study, leader guide and one member book) PER WINNER
Twelve (12) Member Books PER WINNER
Click HERE to watch the promo video of the study.
Giveaway will run through Sunday, October 12th - WINNERS ANNOUNCED MONDAY, OCTOBER 13TH (per random.org)

Get over there and get your name in for this.
You can make a difference for someone else who is hurting - maybe even for yourself.

Still waiting

Still waiting on an answer of who got the job. And while I wait I have peace. I have been praying for a while about my job. I am totally unhappy in this department and have been for a long time. I have prayed for God to open doors here or make changes in my department. So when this opening came up I prayed about it and put in for it. Everyone seems to think that I have it over everyone that applied, but I just know that if I don't then it wasn't God's plan and he knows the desires of my heart. So with that I am expecting for Him to make changes and fill me with the happiness in my own department.
Last week after the interview was over, which went well by the way, the supervisor told me it would be the middle to the end of this week when she announced her decision.
Till then I am still praying........

Jeremiah 29:11-12
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Throw out the Trash

July of 2007 a group of 30 women from our church went to the Going Beyond Conference in Houston to see Priscilla Shirer. Oh My Goodness, what an event. It was awesome. There were ladies there from all over with different faiths, nationality, and circumstances. We all joined together to worship and hear from the Lord. He showed up alright, right there among us all. It was beautiful. The worship team and leader did a great job. We all worshipped the Lord, together as one!
The Lord spoke to me about impure things in my home. Oh not only did he speak to me about it, he just about slapped me in the face with it. I am a mother of 4 children, and married. I have battled with the comfort of intimacy with my husband and here I was letting these impure things in my home which was only there to destroy. My husband and I have participated in somethings in the past that were impure, unnatural, and full of sin. I had been so convicted of it that "That day I left it at the cross" and I was cleansed of the sexual sin we had been partaking in. I had my mind made up and was obeying the Lord to come home and clean house! On the way home ole Satan started doing a number on my mind of how mad I was going to make my spouse and my son. Now my son only had posters and pictures of "girls in bathing suits" up but it was inappropriate for him and in our home where we wanted the Lord to reign. So I stayed in prayer all the way home. The week prior to my weekend get away my teenagers had been at Teen Church Camp. When I got home and we all started discussing what the Lord had done at church camp and my conference, I got the confirmation. The Lord had also be convicting Dustin at Church camp about those same posters and pictures all over his walls. So together we tore them down and put them in a trash bag. Then I also threw out magazines and movies that my spouse and I had. I can't tell you what that has done for me. It felt great to throw out the "trash" from my bed room.
Here are some pictures from that weekend. We also got to hear from briefly, Beth Moore (sorry no picture of her, she was in and out like a flash) and Lisa Whelchel (Blair, from Facts of Life).

Just asking Prayer.

Please Pray for me today. I have an interview today at 4pm to change departments at my job. I have been really unhappy at what I do for a long time..... to sum it up I just don't like it. Never have since I went to school for it. I can't just quit cause we need my income so I applied for an opening in another department.... 5 of us applied and I have seniority over all of them. But 2 of them already working in that department but are part time.
I will let you all now what happens.
I want God's will in this and that is how I have been praying. He knows my desires and what I have been going through in my department as well.
