almost here......

Well I think I am all geared up for this weekend. God has been so faithful.
2 1/2 weeks ago there were only 4 women signed up for the Surrendering the Secret leader certification training. I was fretting it but Pat Layton, in her Godly wisdom, told me God would provide. He is so faithful. (did i already say that?) There are 21 women attending, not including myself, the training on Sat. From 3 states, coming from churches, crisis pregnancy centers, post abortion ministries, and 3 Christian Counselors. I am so excited to finally meet the women I have been praying for all these months. God is going to bless our socks off at the training. Praying for the sweetest spirit that day.
Please Pray for Pat as she will also be speaking to our church in Sunday morning services. Lots of prayer has gone into this weekend. I know God is going to open doors, heal hearts, mend marriages, and save souls this weekend. To God Be the Glory!

For I know the Plans I have for you!

Some of my random notes from She Speaks:

"God can do the UNLIKELY"
Dependant on who God is, if you have God- you have everything you need.
Ministry is what God chooses, NOT YOU
The Dream God put into your heart may be bigger than the environment you are in.
Pray for a team, give me people who GET my calling.
Don't sacrifice the future on the alter of the immediate.
SURRENDER!
Be a willing vessel.
with doubt prayers don't get answered.
God is Always on time!
Always answers prayer-don't ever doubt the power of a prayer!
Friends don't often understand your calling God has on your life.
Trust Him more than my feelings.

Some of my random notes from Beth Moore:
Faith will become Sight~His word promises it.
Be Still and wait patiently.
Believe His word(promises)
over your circumstances and your history.
If you want what is in the will of God for you~you CAN have it.
How much do you want it? Are you willing to do what it takes?
The battlefield is in the mind.
Put all you longings at the Feet of Jesus.
As I sat down this morning in Church services, getting ready to take my sermon notes, I took out my steno pad. Just as I was getting ready to turn to a clean page, I read this:
8-26-09 Wed. night

TRUST ME!
Even when it doesn't add up or make any sense,
what have you got to loose?

To Grow our Faith in HIS Faithfulness- to change your relationship with HIM.

You will not know the whole picture until you take that step of obedience.

He knows what is best for you.

To understand Why?
SUBMIT & APPLY
I have been for a while feeling that God is calling me into ministry (part or full time).
I work full time outside the home, Have a family of 6 to minister too, very involved with church and women's ministry and now my own Finding Freedom, and it is just too much.
Something is always neglected, usually my home and my family.
So I have been praying for a long while for God to make provisions for me to cut back or quit work. In recent months this has been a family prayer too. Ever since it became a family affair, God has really been speaking to me about Faith and Trust. WILL I TRUST AND OBEY HIM?
Just this week my husband got a job offer that would afford me to quit my job....... I know you are thinking wow that is great, God is so good.
But it is 585 miles away from here. But does that make God not so good now? Why would God do all that He has this year in my life and then pull me away to another state? Well I am totally unsure of that but He Knows the Plans He has for me, Jeremiah 29:11
I just forgot to pray for Him to keep me in East Texas to do HIS MINISTRY.
We are praying and seeking God on this live changing event, and would appreciate your prayers or encouragement as well.

Delighting in the Lord

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."
Psalm 37:4
This was our key scripture this weekend at the Beth Moore Conference. It was so awesome. The worship was great and it really spoke to my heart. I could feel the spirit of God there both days. God spoke to me over and over about several different things.
I learned that a true desire is a sustained longing that is not moved by our surroundings, circumstances or moods. And that we were created to delight ourself in the Lord and Him in us.
Some of the things Beth said that struck a chord in my heart were:
*Do not give up on God or the desires of your heart.
*Put all your longings at the feet of Jesus.
*What do you want the statement of your witness to be?
*If you want what is in the will of God for you, you CAN have it.
*He is not overlooking my desires~either GLORY or DESTINY is at stake~Wait on HIM
*He delights to show us mercy!
*Faith will become sight, His word promises it.
*We were called to Be Mighty!
*God will deal with evil!
*NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR LOVED ONES!
Over and Over He spoke to me about my dad's salvation and bondage, Healing for Lane, and Me in Full time Ministry.
How much do I want it? Am I willing to do what it takes?
YES LORD, I AM! then I am going to have to Believe His Word(Promises) over my circumstances and my history. Until Faith becomes Sight I need to Trust God and DO GOOD. (Ps. 37:3)

In the News......

Back in June our local news station aired a segment called "The Abortion Debate Rages On". They interviewed the CEO of the Abortion Clinic and Director of the local Crisis Pregnancy Center. The Ceo of the abortion clinic made a statement that prompted this letter to the news station from me.......
You can view the interview online here: http://www.kfdm.com/news/says-32344-clinic-miller.html

In June, I heard a segment on your news titled,"The abortion debate rages on". Mrs. Miller, the CEO of Whole Women's Health Clinic, was quoted on your website saying "Not sit and judge them, but try to be supportive of them getting back on track and getting their life back together again is really rewarding part of our work." I am a woman who faced an unplanned pregnancy as a teen that resulted in abortion. For over 15 years, I lived in shame and secrecy, with guilt overflowing into every area of my life.

For me to hear a director of an abortion clinic say that the rewarding part of her job is supporting girls/women getting their lives back together is absurd. Being frightened, confused, desperate, unstable or selfish about news of an unplanned pregnancy is noncomparable to the overwhelming bondage abortion causes.

Abortion effects 1 in 4 women in the U.S. alone. A woman may live with shame and guilt from this hidden secret for many years in silence. For many the experience is devasting, causing severe and long lasting spiritual, emotional, and psychological trauma. Women hurt by abortion may suffer with grief, depression, anger, sleep disorders, drug/alcohol problems, all symptoms of Post Abortion Syndrome.

After many years of heartbreak, I was finally able to experience true freedom. I have since started a local ministry called Finding Freedom and I am passionate about seeing women healed from past abortion hurts. We offer women a safe and confidental environment and a weekly bible study specific to post abortion healing.

I fight like a girl, how about you?

My name is Amy Sauls and I am a post-abortive woman.
I faced an unplanned pregnancy at the age of 16 that resulted in abortion. The shame and guilt of ending the life of my unborn child overwhelmed me. Although I became a Christian when I was 22, I still felt as though the sin of my abortion could never be forgiven. For 15 years I lived in shame and secrecy, guilt overflowing into every area of my life.
While attending a retreat with my church in October of 2006, I realized that through Jesus’ death on the cross, I was truly forgiven of all my sins, including my abortion. The Lord Jesus Christ was my only source of healing and freedom. And finally, after many years of heartbreak, I was able to experience true freedom in Christ.
In October of 2008, after God dealt with my heart for 2 years, I surrendered to His call into post-abortion ministry. Since that time, God has consistently provided opportunities for this ministry to grow and opened doors for me to speak to the women and youth of my community.
Then in January of 2009, I attended a training conference for Surrendering the Secret, by Pat Layton. This bible study is a wonderful tool for healing the heartbreak of abortion.
In John 4:35, we are told to open our eyes and look at the fields, for they are ripe for harvest. There are millions of women suffering the severe consequences of abortion and are in need of healing that only Christ can give them. Revelation 12:11 tells us, “They overcame him [the enemy] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” These women need to know that they are not alone in this battle. They need to hear what Christ has done in our lives and that He can do the same for them.
