God Speaks

A real quick recap of my 4 days with an amazing group of ladies.
We headed out on Friday morning to New Bruensfel, Tx for a leadership conference and Surrendering the Secret training. It was a quick trip and not a quite moment it the car. That evening kicked off the conference. The Keynote speaker was Kelly Minter and we had an amazing time of worship. God was speaking to me from the beginning.
I went there for some serious time with the Lord and that is exactly what I did. He confirmed and loved on me through worship, scriptures, and testimony all weekend.
I have never been this close with the Lord, ever! It was truly amazing. By Saturday afternoon I was emotionally drained.
The conference was all day Saturday and Pat Layton was the Keynote speaker. She did a great job. This women Loves God and Women. And she is quit funny.
I got a chance to me her in person and get her autograph. As did I Kelly Minters too.
That evening back at our hotel, we spent some serious time with the Lord. We recapped the weekend, journaled about it, and had an amazing prayer time. We were all 4 down on our knees or laying flat on our faces before our Lord, just humbling ourselves before Him. We literally poured ourselves out to Him.
Sunday was a day of rest for us. We went to a near by town and did a little shopping and lurking around. We had a fabulous lunch on the Gruene River at the Gruene River Grill.
That evening we attended Church Services at Oakwood Baptist where the Surrendering the Secret training was held on Monday. WOW!!!!! it was unbelievable. God was there. The Holy Spirit was so thick in the room, you could feel it...... God was speaking to me so much that evening, I told one of the ladies I was with that if He spoke any louder He would be YELLING in my ear. I just can't explain it.....
Monday was our training day. And boy did the enemy have some tricks up his sleeve.... Nothing is too big for God though.
Pat used my computer for her power point presentation. We had a good lunch and the women there were so sweet. There were about 47 of us in the session. We took pictures together and discussed ideas.
Before going I had been praying for direction on getting into our area churches with the material for post abortive women to begin healing. It has been in Crisis Pregnancy Centers for years, but it is just now coming into the church and only few.
As we left that afternoon to head back home, not even 5 minutes into the ride home I got a phone call from an area church about a Women's Conference coming up in March. They have had their schedule worked out with the exception of a 35 min time slot before the breakout sessions. The director of the women's ministry felt the Lord telling her that should be for the Post Abortion Ministry.
She asked ME to be the speaker for this event. Hello????? Me, my first time to speak in front of a big crowd was this past week with our youth group...... which by the way went great.
I was just humble by what the Lord was doing and so quickly.
He had shown me over and over all weekend that The Harvest is Ripe...... He was not going to prepare me then send me out, He is going to prepare me along the journey. I don't have to go knocking on the Churches doors He is opening them up for me.
God is so good and this ministry is needed so badly.

Getting excited!

I am so excited to see what God has up his sleeve for this weekend. There are 8 of us going to the leadership conference and 5 of us will stay thru til Monday for the Surrendering the Secret Training. I am so thankful for these ladies and their desire to follow God. It is going to be one amazing weekend. There are some things that we are leaving open for the weekend plans, just want to see what God has in store for us....... Trying to follow His direction on what to do Sunday. Which Church to attend services at, and what to do that afternoon and evening....
I am so ready to get away from work, drama, family and all that can sometimes hinder you..... Don't get me wrong I love my family but I never have any "me" time and quit frankly I am in some great need of it......
I need to be refreshed in my spirit and fellowship with some great ladies in my life. I need to focus completely on my Lord and worship Him deeply. I am also depending on Him to give me complete clarity on Our new ministry.
We will have 2 to a room and I have been praying this week about who she will be. I don't mind sharing with any of the ladies as I know all of them pretty well. But whom ever we room with we will have a little extra alone time with and I want it to be the lady the Lord wants......
Please pray for us on our trip, it is about a 5.5 hour drive and we all have families we will be leaving for a few days....... We are set to leave town about 9am Friday morning.

God is Faithful

Thanks for the prayers for my husband. He did well through his test and there was nothing abnormal found. The Dr. did take a few biopsies and we will get the results in 2 weeks. It is all in God's hands.

This morning I awoke to my 5 year old burning up with a fever next to me. He had a fever of 104. After sending out a mass text message asking for prayer, his fever finally broke. I have stayed on top of it today with meds and his fever is very low but he sounds and feels bad.

I had plans to spend the morning shopping with him and my daughter, then meeting up with my sister to visit my brother and ending the evening at a local band concert "One Day of Praise".

But motherly duty came first for me today.

I will get to see my sister in the morning. I will be headed there early to go to church with her. Her husband excepted Christ as his personal Savior this morning. They along with their daughter will be baptized in the morning and I would not miss it for the world........ God truly answers prayers. I have been praying for this consistently for over a year or more. God is so faith to us.

Also I have been working on a flyer for His ministry..... I say His because it is. It is not mine, it is His. I am just so blessed to be a part of it.

I had been praying for a Ministry Name and Scripture and He so faithfully gave me it back in Oct.

Knowing what is ahead

It has been a very busy year for my family. I am glad to see it come to an end and another great year ahead. God has alot planned for me next year and I am ready to see what all he has in store for me and our new ministry. I am excited to say I know what His plans are but I still don't know what all will be in store. At the end of Jan. myself and possibly 7 other ladies from my church will be attending this Conference and we can't wait for it to get here. Some of us will also be staying through till Monday for the Surrendering The Secret Training Session.

OK for me you are talking about 4 days away from work, busyness and my family (which isn't a bad thing, every mom needs a break Right?), and being with some ladies I love, fellowshiping, worshipping and learning all together....... I am so ready I could just scream!
What I am really excited about is I am following God's call. He has been calling me to this ministry for over 2 years and I am so happy and excited to finally be doing what he told me long ago to do.
I would love to ask all of you to please be praying for our trip, the conference and our families we will leave here. God's will be done.........
and also here coming up soon I will be giving my testimony to our youth group which most of them I know and have entertained in my home. We are talking close to 100 teens here. I know God is calling me to do this but I am starting to get a little nervous.

The Reason for the Season

Jesus is Better than Santa
Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks..
And then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is
"Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did.
Not only does He know our name,
He knows our address too.
He knows our history and future and He
even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me
for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts,
repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.
May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and
your loved ones this Christmas 2008
And may He prosper and bless the work
of your hands in the New Year.

defeat for the undefeated....

My heart is sadden to tell you that we did not win the State Championship game. Our local paper puts the story well with this article. I am so proud of our team this year, but they are taking it pretty hard. It was one of the hardest nights ever to see my baby so heart broken. He wanted this so badly. It was a great season and I am very proud of him.

I am not sure if it lessened the heartbreak any but he did find out today that he made the First Team All District for Center. I am so very proud. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.

On the Road to Victory!

Today I am a little emotional....... My baby, all 6 foot, 200lbs of him is on the road with his team to the State Championship.

I got him up early today to get ready and before his depature on the trip of a lifetime, I needed to have prayer with him. And as we bowed together and thanked God for this opportunity and prayed for protection, I couldn't help but get emotional. After prayer I told him to please be careful and have fun. This might not happen again next year.

It was a bittersweet moment for a mother's memory!!!!!

The rest of the school heads out in the morning along with 1000's of fans from East Texas.

These Boys are already champions in our eyes.
I will update when I can this weekend.... Please join us again in prayer for a victory!

prayers for a football player, again

I know I have been talking alot about football lately, but it is a big deal in our house and town right now. This week we are playing in the State Semi finals and we haven't been here in a long time, if ever. Two weeks ago I asked prayers for my son who injured his ankle in a game. He played this past weekend and did really good. It was hurting him but he played through the pain and had a good game.
This evening he came home from practice injured again. He hasn't been practicing hard just running drills. His ankle was braced and wrapped but he rolled it and it is hurting pretty bad.
When he walked in this evening I could see the pain and disappointment all over his face. My heart sank to my stomach. He doesn't know if he will get to play this Friday or not.
The coach put something like a make shift cast on it to help with healing and swelling.
Please Please Pray for us. He is heartbroken already not knowing what is going to happen, and wondering why it is happening now this close to state championship.
I feel awful for him. He wants a State Ring so bad he can taste it.
He needs a healing in his ankle and if not God's will for him to play then I pray for a victory.
If he doesn't get to play and they loose, it will crush him and he will blame himself.
Please keep him and the team in your prayers this week.

Big Time

Our game Friday was a nail biter...... We played the worst game of our season. The weather was not on our side but God was...... We prayed for a Victory and Heathly players and that is what he gave us.

We live in a small town so we have a small once a week paper but the closest "big" city to us was at the game and this was in Sunday's sports section.

Was he excited or what? His picture was the only one printed from our game. Proud moment at our house tonight.
Someone at church tonight told me it was in there and I had to go all over town at 8pm to find a paper. But I got it.

pains, turkey and some football......

Well our week started out on Sunday getting ready to go to Church, planning for a blessed time. Chris has been having a messed up stomach for about 3.5 weeks and then a horrible pain hit. Trying to get him to the car to go to the hospital, he hit the floor and could not get up. A little freaked out by all that was happening and knowing he needed to get to the hospital. Not sure if the pain was a result of his stomach being messed up or if something else was going on. I called 911.

Turns out he was trying to pass a kidney stone. I have never had one and don't care too now after seeing the pain he was in. Dr said it was probably a result of be dehydrated the last few weeks. It was a wild ride for the next day till that little booger came out. It was only 2mm. big but it sure caused alot of pain.

With a short week at school and work I was ready to get into the holiday. Thanksgiving is always good eating. I love all the fixings that go along with the Turkey. We had a house full of people at the In-laws. Very Thankful for our family.

And with the end of the week here it is time for football again. Dustin has been treating his ankle all week with big hopes he will get to start tonight. This is our biggest and toughest game yet this season. It will be a good one.

We are going early to insure a seat since most of all our 2400 pop. town will be there, along with others from nearby communities. I have been praying this week for all the players health and for a victory.
This is the Quarter finals, next week is Semi finals and the following week will be the State Championship. I am so excited for my son, our football team, cheerleaders, and our town.

GO CATS!

Thank you for your prayers for Dustin. He has a lower ankle sprain but should be healed for the game. The other 2 boys are okay too. One will be able to play again possibly this next week too, but the other is out for the rest of the playoffs.

Football, injuries and prayer

We played early this week.....
Last night we won 43-20 meaning we advance to the next round in the playoffs. We did have some injuries but that game was great.
Dustin, my son, who plays starting Center hurt his ankle in the 2nd quarter, another key player has a mild shoulder separation, and a defensive player might have tore his ACL in his knee.
The coaches and trainer are taking them all to the doctor today.
Please pray for them all to be minor injuries.
We had a line of fans welcoming the team back to town last night. They were escorted back in by the firetrucks and police. Lights and sirens. AND a firework show...... It was really cool.

I will get some pictures posted this weekend from the game.
